The project, first introduced in 2001, has eight Friendly Face co-ordinators, who support a larger team at the school. Originally the program aimed to support students who felt they were victims of bullying. The project was later broadened to support all students. A dedicated Friendly Face room at the school is used as a drop-in centre where students can go during breaks or lunchtime. At least two "Friendly Faces" are on hand to provide immediate support, advice and guidance on any problem a student wishes to discuss.
