Aurangabad is a bustling market and lies on the state highway connecting Bulandshahr and Garhmukteshwar further leading to Moradabad.It is 15km. from Bulandshahr towards Garhmukteshwar.It is a famous Gur mandi and a trade centre of the area. In the centre of Aurangabad is situated an Old Mosque belonging to Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb's era. There is a famous sugar mill near Aurangabad at Agauta.
