Arthur Ellis Kinsella QSO

politician of the National Party
, and was a cabinet minister.
Kinsella was Minister of Broadcasting from 1960 to 1963 in the Second National Government
, overseeing the introduction of Television to New Zealand. He was Postmaster-General from 1961 to 1963 and was Minister of Education
from 1963 to 1969.
He represented the rural electorate of Hauraki
from 1954 to 1969, when he retired.
He was born at Waikino, and educated at Waihi District High School, Waihi School of Mines, Auckland University and Auckland Teachers College; he graduated with MA and Diploma in teaching. He was a teacher before becoming an MP, and returned to teaching after retiring from politics.
