 to Dutch parents in the Netherlands.

Arierang started in 1991 and was officially founded on May 28th 1993. The association is part of International Korean Adoptee Associations (IKAA) and the Samenwerkingsverband Interlandelijk Geadopteerden (SIG).

Members and the board of Arierang are adopted from South Korea and live in the Netherlands.
Activities are frequently organized for and by the members such as the Arierang Weekend and the national meeting in Amsterdam (monthly basis).
The association publishes at least three times a year her own magazine, Uri Shinmun (='Our Newspaper')
Furthermore, the association gathers and shares information to her members about Korea, roots travelling and adoption.

In 2009 Arierang hosted the IKAA Gathering in Amsterdam. An event for over 140 Korean adoptees from 9 countries.
