. As of June 19, 2009, ARCTIC COOLING Switzerland AG operates as a subsidiary of Caseking GmbH. The real headquarter located at Tsuen Wan, Hong Kong. After organization reformation in the last 2 years, it shift from technical R&D background to trading company. Their product line emphasis more on accessories than cooling product.

Heatsink Products

Arctic Cooling's first flagship product for GPU's is the Arctic Silencer graphics card cooler line. The cooler works by drawing cool air from within the computer case, passing it through a heatsink over the core chip, and then disposing of the heated air out the rear of the case, aiming to prevent circulation of hot air within the case. Arctic Silencers are produced exclusively for Nvidia

graphics cards. Arctic Cooling has taken a turn away from exhausting the air out the back with the introduction of the Accelero X1 and X2 for Nvidia and ATI cards respectively.

Arctic Cooling's last flagship GPU cooler is Accelero series. It emphasis large air flow rate to pass through big heat sink and low speed fan with PWM control. All of this series used to take 2 to 3 slots for installation. The fact is that its fan has low yield rate. If the cooler is working at PWM mode, it will report incorrect RPM reading and may burn out due to transistor overheat. None of their fan equipped with hydro bearing and can last for more than 30,000 hours operation.

Arctic Cooling created a fan that "floats" the fan on vibration absorbing mounts. This allows the fan to be quieter, but does not allow it to be mounted in the reverse position or for non-propriety fans to be put in its place.

Their Flagship CPU HSF is the Freezer series. The original Freezer 64 (for AMD CPU's) & 7 (for Intel CPU's) were developed into the Freezer 64/7 Pro series. In December 2007 Arctic Cooling announced a further upgrade, the Freezer Extreme, which is currently in its second revision. Unlike earlier designs, the Freezer Extreme fits common CPU sockets. They also produce a low profile cooler, called the Freezer 7 LP, which is intended for processors with low thermal outputs.

Power Supply

The well known problem is they used the peak value as the normal operation value for model name.

Other Products

Arctic Cooling also produces computer cases, under the Silentium product line. They are ATX
