Archana has won the National Award twice for Veedu in Tamizh(1988) and Daasi in Telugu(1989)which reflects as much on her talent as her versatility in all South Indian Languages.The only other actresses who have won the National Award more than once are Sharada,Shabna Azmi, Smitha Patel,Tabu and Shobana.
