Anthony Ford

Anthony Ford is a judge of the Employment Court of New Zealand and a former Chief Justice of Tonga.

 in 1970 and worked as a lawyer, specialising in employment and commercial law and defamation. In 2000, he was appointed as a judge of the Supreme Court of Tonga. From 2005 to 2007 he served as a judge of the Fijian Court of Appeal

In 2006, Ford was appointed Chief Justice of Tonga. In December 2009 the Tongan Cabinet decided not to renew his contract, despite a recommendation from the Judicial Services Commission that it do so. He was subsequently appointed to the Employment Court of New Zealand in September 2010.
