The most significant work Nandy has done for his constituency is facilitating the withheld project of the expansion of the Metro Railways between Dum Dum and Dakshineswar. This is, indeed, a significant endeavour to promote the cultural oneness between the two'Bengals'-once partitioned as a result of a political conspiracy.
