Career

Merrill served in the New Hampshire House from 1989 to 1998, including a term as Deputy Democratic Leader, and was a House policy staff member during the 2007-08 biennium.

Her community and non-profit service has included membership on the Durham Planning Board and the boards of the UNH Alumni Association, the Audubon Society of New Hampshire, and the Granite State Conservation Voters Alliance. She also worked as visual arts
