Banks was a member of the 2004 National Championship JMU Dukes team. Banks also received the Gary Clark Award, Offensive MVP, for the years 2003 and 2005.
Alvin Banks had 2,694 Running Yards(3rd in JMU History); 28 rushing touchdowns(4th in JMU History); 57 receptions/596 yards/4 touchdowns. In 2005, he was recognized as a 2nd Team All Atlantic-10 player. Banks played in the 2006 North South All Star Classic football game.
