The All Along Stakes has been held at four different tracks all in the Mid-atlantic region of the United States, it was held at Laurel Park Racecourse from 1988-1996. The race was also held at Delaware Park in 1997 and Pimlico Race Course

 in 1990. The race was not held in 1986 or 1987. It was first graded in 1988 and it became a grade two race in 1990 and continued that way until 1998. Since 1999 the race has maintained its grade three status. The race was run at a distance of 1-3/16 miles in 1999 and 2000.

The 2010 race served as the perfect prep race to Shared Account who went on to win the 2010 Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Turf a Grade 1 race held at Churchill Downs
