. During the 1890s Alexander held a steady population of around 381 however by 1940 Alexander had a population of 200. In 1970 the Alexander Post Office had closed. The population was a steady 40 from the 1970s through the 2000s. A cemetery, two churches, numerous homes, and other structures remained in Alexander in 2010.
