Saviuk was born on August 17, 1952 ( this is a correction by Alex Saviuk: it's not 1953 as stated above. That 1953 birth year was based on the article cited down below regarding "Where were you in June, 1962?" Since his birthday is in August he would have been 9 in June as stated in the article but turned 10 on his birthday in August thereby making his birth year 1952. ) Alex grew up on Long Island, New York, graduating from Floral Park Memorial High School
