Alan Byrne is an Irish

He picked up the Supporter's club player of the Year and the Person of the Year awards. Byrne made his 100th appearance for Kildare County in the 2006 season, becoming only the third player ever to play over 100 games for Kildare since the club's foundation in 2002.
Byrne departed County after four seasons to join Shelbourne
on 29 November 2007. He made his Shelbourne debut against his former club Kildare County
at Station Road
on March 14, 2008 as second-half substitute during a 3-1 victory for the Reds. Byrne finished as a First Division runner-up with Shelbourne in 2008, where he made 17 league and cup appearances due to an ankle injury. Byrne departed Shelbourne at the end of the 2008 season to rejoin former club Monaghan United on 27 January 2009.signed again for another season after picking up the supporters player of the year award 2010.
