Nasal moved to the United States in 2006 with his wife to work and train at Memphis Judo and Jiu-Jitsu after meeting the school's owner at Submission Sport Grappling Championships. While in the states, Nasal has competed in numerous MMA events such as EliteXC, the Absolute Fighting Championships and the Ring of Combat where he is the current Super-Welterweight champion.
