). Justice Sattar obtained his MA in Political Science and Law degree in 1929 from Calcutta University. He then joined the Calcutta Judge Court Bar.
Some career highlights of Justice Sattar: Chief Election Commissioner of Pakistan-1969-1972. Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bangladesh Jiban Bima Corporation-1973-1974. Chairman of Journalist Wage Board-1974-1975. Minister of Law and Parliamentary Affairs-1977
President Sattar was removed from power by a coup-d'etat led by the army chief Hossain Muhammad Ershad on March 24, 1982 and died in Dhaka on October 5, 1985.
