. He has been associated with JIH since he was a high school student and became a member in 1952. He is also directing research on Religious Traditions, which includes Islam and other religions at the Islamic Academy, formerly Centre for Religious Studies and Guidance, Aligarh, as its Director since 1996. For more than ten years, he has pursued research in various aspects of Islamic thought at the Centre for Academic Research, Imam Muhammad b. Saud Islamic University, Riyadh. He is the Chancellor of Jamia Islamia (Islamic university), Shantapuram, Kerala (India).

After completing Alimiyat from Darsgah Islami, Rampur, Abdul Haq Ansari came to Aligarh where he studied Arabic, Philosophy and history and obtained his B.A from Aligarh Muslim University

Academic Activities

He has been teaching philosophy in various universities and engaged in various academic activities for a long time. He was a lecturer at Visva-Bharati University in West Bengal,India. He undertook many research works at Centre for Academic Research, Imam Muhammad b. Saud Islamic University, Riyadh.
