. Established in 1992, AISSMS (All India Shri Shivaji Memorial Society) is an institute founded by Chattrapati Shri Shahu Maharaj and H. H. Shri Madhavraoji Scindia. AISSMS College of Engineering is located close to the Regional Transport Office and shares its campus with a Pharmacy college and Business School. At present, it offers courses in eight branches of engineering, namely Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering (Sandwich), and Production Engineering (Sandwich), each leading to the award of bachelor's degree. The total intake of the college is 480 students per year. The College is located on 11 acres (44,515.5 m²) of land.

Location

AISSMS CoE is located in the heart of the city in the area of Shivajinagar, around 10 minutes walk from Pune railway station and is easily accessible from all parts of the city, be it via buses or trains.

Infrastructure

The college building reminds you of the Hogwarts school from the famous Harry Potter series. It is dark and cool inside, and there is a good possibility of you losing your way although the staircases don’t move in this case. Labs are big but a some makeover is required as all the updated instruments are available.

It has a big sports ground and an Airplane present in its campus.

National Level Students Symposium and Exposition 2011

Similar to our previous years, this year also our college had organized a National Level Students Symposium and Exposition. It was scheduled on 8 and 9 March 2011. All undergraduate engineering students had participated in various competitions held by individual departments, namely:

  • Project Competition and Exhibition
  • Quiz-O-Mania
  • Techpedia

Amarillo 2011

Amarillo 2011 was organized by AISSMS College of Engineering from 06 -9 March 2011. The Sports and Cultural Competition was organized at Inter-Engineering level. Overall more than 60 teams participated in the Competition. The events in this competition are as follows:

  • Solo Dance
  • Group Dance

  • Music Band


The Best Sportswoman award was given to Miss Apoorva Dube, a B.E Electrical Engineering student and the Sportsman award was given to MR. Rohit Sharma, a T.E Civil Engineering student.

At Inter-Department sports meet events the overall trophy was won by the Civil Department.

Shivanjali 2011

Annual Social gathering and the Prize distribution function “Shivanjali 2011” was celebrated on 10 and 11 March 2011 and was a great success. The Variety entertainment program was scheduled on both two days which included dramas, group dances, etc.

The Social-cultural Awards Distribution function was held on 11 March 2011.

The prestigious award of Best Outgoing Student was given away at the auspicious hands of the Chief Guest to Sahil Gundiva, B.E. Electronics Engineering.
