The 24th street BART station is one of two bart stations that run along the mission street corridor.
24th street is the less sketchy Mission street bart station, 16th street mission being much more grimer and filled with more crime and SF pd cop cars.
24th street mission station has a similar design to the 16th street stations blue, light blue and white tiles, but features a yellower combination of tiles in the similar basic design that the 16th street station has.

Cross over tracks --- The 24th street station is a popular commute turn around point for a few trains during rush hour. During rush hour BART typically runs concord, and north concord trains. The north concord, and concord trains are made when a SF/24th street train comes out of the east bay suburbs and uses the crossover tracks between 16th street and 24th street bart stations to switch and end up on the outbound platform. This allows for bart to quickly relaunch the former 24th street train as a concord, north concord, or Baypoint train. This tactic allows bart to Service a more specific and highly dense area where there are many commuters ready to go home. It is also convenient because Trains can either be stored just after north concord, or taken out of service at concord and sent back to the concord yard for storage.

Infill station ---- There were plans in the early 2000's to create another infill Bart station between Glen Park Bart and 24th Street. The proposed 30th Street and Mission station idea was scrapped due to the half billion dollor price tag it would have come with. The station was never built and plans were scrapped. There was also another similar plan which suggested making train alcoves to the left and right of the tracks to temporarily store standby trains, but this was also scrapped due to physical complications.
