Opening ceremony

On the 15th of January, the opening ceremony was held at the Palazzetto dello Sport in the town square of Sestriere, and included a series of performances by three dance couples. The dancers were to represent the people of the region. Among the dignitaries in attendance was the IPC President Sir Philip Craven.
