. The album was recorded in 1992 with the band not thinking anyone would notice it. It was released to very positive reviews.

!!Destroy-Oh-Boy!! was recorded at Coyote Studios in Brooklyn, New York. All songs on the album are credited to the New Bomb Turks with the exception of the song "Mr. Suit", a cover of the British

The band didn't feel strongly that !!Destroy-Oh-Boy!! would sell or be well known. Bassist of the group Matt Reber recalled "I didn't think anyone would like the "Destroy Oh-Boy" record". Vocalist Eric Davidson also noted he "...figured, for sure, it would be stacked in the back of Used Kids Records in Columbus and they'd be putting them out in the dollar bins, every couple of months. That's what I figured.".

Reception

Despite the band's notions, the album was released to what Allmusic declared "universally great reviews". In 1993, Spin Magazine wrote very positive review of the bands' work and labeled the album "Highly Recommended". In the same year, Alternative Press

 praised the band in their album review stating that "...Suddenly, not only have both prole-threat punk bashery and destructo-rock found fresh voices, they've been melded into a seamless new terror all its own". Allmusic gave the album 4½ stars out 5 and made it their pick as the band's top album.

Despite the praise, the album failed to chart.

Track listing

The LP version includes "Spinnin' Clock" after "Tattooed Apathetic Boys"; "Cryin' into the Beer of a Drunk Man" is omitted on the LP, but appears as the b-side on the "Dragstrip Riot" 7" single.
