The antonine wall was biult around sixty ad between the scottish rivers forth and clyde, the area between the earlier hadrians wall was a dangerous place known as valencia.the inhabitants of the land where the antonine wall was biult were chased north west into the impregnable west highlands where the caledonian tribe lived -these folk were found to be romes toughest opponents and as tradition haqd it the land was named after them caledonia, there were expeditions up the east coast of caledonia and bribery was tried to befriend the various tribes but to no avail.the tribe who fled from the wall region originated as ancient britons, seafaring folk who in to the roman s were known as the brigantes.Valerius Negrinus or schwarzwild was leader of a cavalry detachment called the cohors tungororum a one thousand strong outfit.he was resposible for the biuldfing of many stone altars.a 500 strong turma would patrol the wall the rest taking r&r at camelon(camelot).the cohors tungororum built the finest shrine of the standards outside of rome and unusually all of red stone atcastecary

Cont'd there were picts in central scotland who had come down from the far north and they were friendly with the romans who had bone to pictland up north and defeated the picts at the battle of mons graupius it took a generation for thr picts to recover.all the romans recorded about them was that they liked to smuggle by land and sea.the picts of central scotland(forth valley)sailed to the mediterranean for raw silver which they liked to work into massive chunky jewellry.they also brought back the pictish stone from the temple of solomon this is also known as the stone of destiny and the third significant stone in scotland is st.cuthberts seat near dull at aberfeldy.here he carried out baptisms,SCOTLANDS FIRST UNIVERSITY WAS BUILT AT DULL PRON.TCHOOL before crucifixes the sign of christianity was a willow ring and som momnks were set to find the very centre of scotland-at dull the ring broke and this was their sign to set up a most pious seat of learning regards CCserxrgf

It is said that emperor antononus was obssessed with the freshwaterpearls of the river tay and this may be why he invaded, the tribes of caledonia united under a great pendragon named cunedda (SOME SAY KING ARTHUR)he attacked the roman settlement at castecary wher espanish and austrian settlers were based for a colonisation of caledonia.they were wiped out and the fortified settlement put to the torch.the shrine of the standards, etcetera were demolished ans used as the foundation for the nearby tower of castecary reputed to be scotlands oldest inhabited tower house,.cuneddas forces raided britannia for the next six hundred years but in that time some of his army became impressed by the civilization they saws down south and ended up volunteering for the roman army/one interesting place near camelon is stenhousemuir (satan house meadow)on the banks of the forth tributary carron.when goods arrived from overseas satan was worshipped in a special cicular temple the only other known at satanicum in belgium regards CCserxrgf
