If Alton had ripped you off, stole your money/ property, it would not matter how "reliable your talent of sizing people up" you would be with us and taking him to court to get your money back. Did Alton steal your bank card and PIN number, or your checkbook, as that would constitute a theft in my book. If you gave him the money from your hand to his, then you made your own investment and subsequently lost your investment. It could have gone the other way too, but that is the chance you take. I can match people to the merchandise presented while asking the appropriate questions to determine if they are familiar with the items and their use. I couldn't care less what you think about me or my ability to handle my finances. Alton is a smooth talker and preys on emotions. Yes, I had strong concerns about what turned out to be a "scheme," however, nothing he told me from day one was truthful. The man has no idea of the meaning of integrity. Actually, I did do a criminal check on him and the alias he was going by had no criminal history, of course. I've had many men on dating sites ask me for money and I've never given them one penny.
