In 2008, the club became a member of Western Canada Division of the Canadian County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association.

Éire Óg compete every year in the Western Canadian Championships & in the Denis Walsh (Alberta Cup) in Men's Gaelic Football.

Éire Óg have represented Red Deer at 7 tournaments to date, winning the Vancouver Tournament Plate in 2008.

Éire Óg will be hosting the Western Canadian Division Championship (Round 2) July 31 weekend 2010.
