. He is the author of Deception (2008 book), which is about people's relationship with truth and the possibility of a truly honest life and The Happiness Paradox which concerns how philosophy and psychology can create a better understanding of modern identity.

Marar moved to London when he was 10 years old. He has worked as editorial director at SAGE Publications
