The station is currently under construction and will enter service when all remaining stations in the Zhuhai section of the Guangzhu MRT open in 2012, with the station itself having a target completion date of 31 July 2012. When completed, the station will become the future south terminus of the Guangzhu MRT, a role currently filled by the Zhuhai North Railway Station
