Zhou Ting would play for Dalian Wanda youth team before eventually starting his senior career with Yunnan Hongta

 in 2000 where he quickly established himself within the team playing in 24 games within his debut season. He would stay with Yunnan Hongta until the 2003 season where he transferred to Qingdao Jonoon and Shenzhen Shangqingyin before settling with Beijing Guoan
