Career

After spending three seasons at Yokohama Flugels, he returned to his native Shizuoka by signing for S-Pulse. Kuboyama holds the distinction of having scored the 7500th goal in the J. League division one, which he accomplished in November 2001 against JEF United Ichihara Chiba
