Yitzhak Reiter is an Israeli political scientist.

 and in the Department of Political Science at Ashkelon Academic College. Between 1978 and 1986, Reiter as the Deputy Advisor on Arab Affairs under three Prime Ministers of Israel.

His academic expertise in is modern Middle East politics and history; conflict resolution at sacred sites and holy places; the political history of Palestine, Jordan, and Israel; Islamic law and religious institutions and comparative perspectives on minority-majority conflict.
