Yes is the brand name of YTL Corporation's foray into the telecommunications industry in Malaysia. Yes promises to be the fastest 4G internet with voice and is set for commercial launch on the 19th of November 2010. Yes claims to have speeds of 3 to 5 times faster than current 3G networks and will be using the 018 prefix for its voice services. Yes uses a prepaid utility model for billing and promises to have the lowest rates for data, sms and voice in Malaysia, charging 9 sen for 3 megabytes of data, a single SMS, or a minute of voice call respectively. Being based on the prepaid model, it requires subscribers to "top up" their account with credits before it can be used.

At launch, its voice service will also enjoy inter-connectivity with the other Malaysian telecommunication networks, allowing Yes customers to make and receive calls with other conventional networks. At launch, their coverage area spans 65% of Peninsular Malaysia including major cities, towns, highways and secondary roads on the east coast. One of the highways that will receive coverage is the North-South highway which links Malaysia’s northern most and southern most states. The service will also be on the high speed KLIA Express. A high speed train that links Kuala Lumpur city with Kuala Lumpur International Airport. As a Mobile WiMAX provider, Yes uses Yes ID, a username authentication method that does not require the use of sim cards. It is also an all-IP network that is designed with to provice a faster and more reliable mobile internet experience with 100% digital, Quality-of-Service (QoS) voice calls. Other services which are currently in the pipeline includes a HDTV service were they have partnered with Sezmi

YES sources their dongles and modems from Infomark Korea, the same company which Clearwire sources their devices from. Notably, the YES Huddle is identical to a Clearwire Clear Spot 4G, both being OEM versions of the Infomark Biscuit, but with a customized firmware.

Devices

As at launch date, Yes devices available are the Yes Go USB dongle and Yes Huddle Wi-Fi mobile hotspot. Other products to come include a Yes 4G phone called the Yes Buzz and a home/office WiFi gateway called the Yes Zoom.

Education Partner Program (EPP)

Under Education Partner Program,YTL corporation provides Yes 4G account for Malaysian undergraduates with free 300MB data transfer which worth RM9 monthly. Current participating universities include Universiti Malaya, Universiti Putra Malaysia, Universiti Sains Malaysia, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman, Kolej Tunku Andul Rahman.
