 Union libanaise culturelle mondiale) is an international, secular, non-denominational, non-profit organization sponsored by the Government of Lebanon but working independently in cooperation with Lebanese emigrants abroad, representing the Lebanese Diaspora in the world. The organization is also well-known by its English acronym WLCU and French acronym ULCM has offices in many major centers of Lebanese presence worldwide.

in 1960, under the name World Lebanese Union and later in 1973 on the name was Changed to World Lebanese Cultural Union (with Interior Ministry recording number 363 dated January 13, 1973) the name was changed to Satisfy Brazilian law, this organization was instituted to promote the cultural aspects of the Lebanese people throughout the world. It strives to unite descendants of Lebanese origin and friends of Lebanon into one worldwide organization or union with the aim to promote and preserve Lebanese culture and heritage and to ensure its spirit for generations to come.

There are presently one official organization as the records show at the Interior Ministry in Beirut,Lebanon, according to the organization bylaws any organization, Club, Group or Member that wants to use the WLCU name or be part part if this organization must abide by it's bylaws as amended in 1985 and dully recorded at the Interior Ministry in Beirut.

There are records of some individuals or groups that left the organization in late 90's for some conflicts with some leadership with WLCU. However these groups or individuals are claiming that they are still the official WLCU organization. These claims are not correct, it is very easy to verify, anyone interested can contact the Interior Ministry in Beirut to verify the facts, i.e. check if their names are recorded and ask for the recording number.

WLCU World president Albert Matta, Elected at the WCLU world congress held in Beirut on September 18,2010, with an Interior Ministry recording number (4/8700 as stamped on September 22, 2010) and a copy of this recording can be verified with the Interior Ministry.
  • The are others using the name with out permission, basically using the name with out permit from the Main organization based in Beirut, by Eid Chedrawi.
