New memorial/sports complex

In 2005, work was completed on a new Veteran's Memorial and the W.A. "Junior" and Catherine Chapman Sports Complex, located just west of Woodlawn Grade School off of Woodlawn Lane. The Memorial included all veterans from every American Conflict from The Civil War up to The War on Terror. The Sports Complex was designed and founded by resident Steve Johnson and includes one baseball diamond, two softball diamonds, concession stand, and a walking track.

Schools

Woodlawn consists of a small high school and a K-8 grade school. In past years, the high school basketball team has successfully reached the 1A state tournament twice, receiving second place in 2009 and third place in 2011. The baseball team reached the elite eight in 2011.
