The current station was originally built by ACL in 1962, is adjacent to a city park, and is one block away from Park Avenue, a street with upscale shopping and many restaurants. The nearest hotels are the Best Western at 110 South Orlando Avenue and the Park Plaza which is a block and a half from the station on Park Avenue.
