and was a member of the Canadian U-20 team which went to the quarterfinals of the 2003 FIFA World Youth Championship

in the fourth division Premier Development League. In January 2005, the Vancouver Whitecaps selected Marshall in the USL First Division
draft. In February 2005, F.C. Dallas selected Marshall in the third round (27th overall) of the 2005 MLS SuperDraft
. Marshall initially did not make the Dallas roster, but was signed on September 15, 2005 as a developmental player. He never appeared with the Dallas first team and was waived a few months later.
