. In 1660, he was elected without contest as MP for Norwich in the Convention Parliament. He stood for parliament in 1661 but came third in the poll.

Barnham died at the age of 61 and was buried at Norwich on 22 March 1675

Another William Barnham (1651-1718), son of John Barnham and Sarah Hartley, married four times. His first wife was Elizabeth [Margaret] Windham [Wyndham], daughter of William Windham of Stokesby, Norfolk. He married secondly Sarah [Rebekah] Middleton, granddaughter of Sir Hugh Middleton and had a daughter. His third wife was Rebecca [Rebekah] Bacon, daughter of Edward Bacon of London, and they had two daughters. He married fourthly Mary Flowerdew of Norwich and had several children [two daughters and a son William who was a barrister].
