. It is one of the towns poorer areas and like the other housing estates in Dumbarton, it too has its share of drugs and crime. Westcliff was a originally farmland and was part of the parish of Cardross as was Castlehill, Brucehill and Westbridgend prior to the building of Dumbarton bridge which then linked Westbridgend forge with the town of Dumbarton. Havoc Park is near Westcliff and is home to local football teams such as Westcliff, Clydeshore and Dumbarton Harp.
