Football

The 2007 Wildcat football season under Bobby Marion. The West Ashley High School finished the season with a record of 4-7 beating Wando High School, James Island Charter High School, North Charleston High School, and Battery Creek High School. The team received a makeover after they received a new head coach. Bobby Marion was the new head coach and quarterback and running back coach. Tagging along was Defensive Coordinator, and Middle Linebacker coach Thomas Cousins, A Great Defensive Back coach Brad Thomas, Outside Linebacker Coach Clare, Defensive Line coach Lew Dawson, Offensive Line Coach Blacklocke, and Reviver Coach Morris.

Volleyball

West Ashley High School's volleyball team has established one of the best programs in the state of South Carolina. During the 2005 season the Lady Wildcats were crowned State Champions, the following year the Wildcats were runner up against Hillcrest High School. The Lady Wildcats has sent a handful of players to play volleyball in college. The team is led by head coach Christy Jickling, a former professional Canadian volleyball player, the wife of former ECHL South Carolina Stingrays

Cheerleading

The West Ashley High School cheerleading squad consists of the Varsity and Junior Varsity Squad. Tryouts are usually held in the spring. The cheerleaders are known for cheering for both basketball games and football games.
