Wesley Dening

Wesley Dening is an Australian television host and comedian, who became famous in Australia as a contestant on Big Brother Australia 2004.

Dening is currently living and working in Los Angeles and is one of the presenters on truTV's The Smoking Gun Presents: World's Dumbest.Dening recently developed and produced "The Stafford Brothers" series for Fox8. A six part series follow the DJ Brothers Matt and Chris Stafford.

 in his final year. During his teen years, Wesley worked as an actor, fashionista and model, even winning Young Model of the Year. Wes was also a competitive swimmer and past Australian Age Champion Freestyle and Butterfly swimmer.
Wesley also operates a 'Seriously Pink' franchise in central Brisbane. He is represented in Australia by the Harry M Miller group, which manages motivational and celebrity speakers. In the US he is represented by Degenkolb Entertainment and RLR Associates.

Big Brother

Wesley was a contestant on Australian Big Brother Series 4. He entered the house on Day 1 and was evicted on Day 68. He came in 8th. Wes returned to star in Big Brother 5 as part of an All Star Team that went into the house to compete against current contestants for that season.

After Big Brother

Network TEN

Wes began as a host on Totally Wild in 2004. In 2006, he was nominated for the Graham Kennedy award at the Logies for Best New Talent on TV and was the recipient of the Australian Antarctic Arts Fellowship, which provides funds for a trip to Antarctica. , as well as the Sports presenter for Ten News Brisbane over the Christmas Holidays. Wes also hosted the national program on Network Ten called "Kick2Kick".

In 2008 Channel Ten used Wesley as one of the hosts for the 2008 New Year's Eve telecast. He was also an Australian Day Ambassador for Queensland. Wes served as a celebrity chef on "Ready Steady Cook" and a reporter for Ten's pre-season AFL national live coverage and the ANZ Ladies Masters.

TV advertisements featuring Dening included Macdonald's McHappy Day, The Wild Awards, Royal Children's Hospital, Treasury Casino Bachelor Auctions, Brisbane's Big Gig and Doomben Pacific Race Day.

In 2009, Wesley was signed to ICM in Los Angeles and he began hosting on truTV's The Smoking Gun Presents. In addition, he hosted the StarQuest International Performing Arts Competition, with which he traveled across the United States with and was the host for the World Finals held in Minneapolis, MN. He traveled to Australia to host the 4X4 National Fishing and Outdoor Expo and was invited to speak at the National Young Leaders Day in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide and Brisbane.

In 2010, Wesley works on TruTv's "The Smoking Gun Presents: World's Dumbest" as one of the co-hosts. The show is filmed in NYC. He is now represented by RLR Management in NYC and Degenkolb Entertainment. Wes was also signed to host "In the Qube" filmed by Embassy Row in NYC. A half hour entertainment show, "In the Qube" is broadcast in 60 countries worldwide. Wes also commissions to voice for Major League Baseball the 2010 promotional ads for the Australian Baseball League which air in Australia on ONEHD, Fox Sports and ESPN.

In 2011, Wes continued with TruTV under the show's retitled name "TruTV Presents: World's Dumbest..." in what will be his 4th season on the network show.

It has been reported that Wes also hosted a new show in Hawaii and a pilot for Disney in LA in early 2011.

Dening is the director and president of WD Entertainment Group. Formed in 2010 the production companies first TV-series "The Stafford Brothers" premiered 6x30min episodes for Fox8 Australia. Produced in partnership with TPD Media, the show was considered a huge success in Australia and through a distribution deal with DRG media is now available internationally.
