. Webster City is known as 'Boone River Country' with the Boone River meandering along the east side of the city from north to south. Webster City is home to several large companies that have global reach, including Vantec, Inc., Van Diest Supply Company, McMurray Hatchery, Webster City Custom Meats, Mary Ann's Specialty Foods, and Seneca Foundry. The city, which serves as the county seat, has no courthouse square. Webster City sits along Highway 20, a four lane east-west corridor through north central Iowa, approximately 12 miles west of Interstate 35. Webster City boasts a municipal airport with a 4,007 ft runway and full time FBO. The local radio station is KQWC. Webster City is located at a junction of lines of the Canadian National and Union Pacific Railroads.
