Playing career

Wang Chongwei began his ice hockey career in the youth system of the Qiqihar ice hockey team which in 2007 merged with the Harbin ice hockey team to become the China Sharks. In the 2008-09 season he was called up to the Sharks and gave his professional debut in the Asia League Ice Hockey
