Until August 4, this station was simulcast on WJSJ 105.3 (through the Jammin' Oldies, Hot AC and Smooth Jazz formats) in the western end of the Jacksonville market. The simulcast has since been broken and WJSJ is now a simulcast of sports radio

History

The station was assigned the call letters WJQR on June 13, 1995. WJQR signed on as "Hot Country 105.5 WJQR" with Jacksonville personality and former WZAZ station owner Mark Majors as morning host. The rest of the day was automated with the Hot Country radio service. At the time, WJQR was owned by Ken & Eileen Stein along with its co-owned AM sister station WAOC
