WXIL and the station's personalities have won several awards from the West Virginia Broadcasters Association. The station was honored with the WVBA Excellence in Broadcasting award for CHR Station of the Year - Medium Market in 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011. Brian Grant won the 2010 WVBA Excellence in Broadcasting Award for Best On-Air Personality - Medium Market, and Brian Guthrie won the award for Best Radio Promotion - Medium Market.
