On January 1, 2009, WTSO parted company with ESPN Radio and rebranded as "The Big 1070, Madison's Sports Station." The new schedule places an emphasis on local content, including "On Wisconsin w/ Brian Posick" (2-3PM), which concentrates on UW-Madison sports; "The Mike Heller Show" (3-6PM), a general sports talk program hosted by Mike Heller and Phil Dawson; and (in a new addition for 2009) a morning show (6-8AM) hosted by Wisconsin Badger
