 switched from CHR to Oldies. It was then that the station received its most popular identity and calls as "96.3 The Rose" WRZE. WRZE was well known for its morning show "Dan & Stephanie in the Morning" (now heard on sister station WCOD-FM). Although The Rose aired a top 40 format, starting in 2004 they tended to focus mostly on hip-hop and R&B and stopped adding most rock and pop rock hits to their library (although there were occasional exceptions).
