As of September 2007, prior to the transfer to Galaxy, WRNY and WIXT (which, until 2005, was known by the call sign WLFH) were operating as part of a four station network of Sports Talk radio stations named "The Sports Stars", carrying a variety of local and syndicated sports talk programming, along with live coverage of local sporting events. The other two stations in the simulcast were WADR

Upon Clear Channel's exit from the Utica market in 2007, the network was rearranged. WADR and WUTQ, the two weakest stations in the network, were sold to Ken Roser, while Galaxy Communications acquired WRNY and WIXT. The network, which expanded to WTLB at this time, change its slogan from "Sports Stars" to "1310 The Game." The network switched from Fox Sports to ESPN Radio
