History

WPEB began in 1981 in studios located in the basement of Calvary Church

It has subsequently resumed operations and was purchased by a nonprofit organization with plans to operate it as a community radio station.

Transmission

WPEB is one of very few Class D FM stations still on the air. It also is the lowest power full-power broadcast radio station, with only 1 watt of power.
