History

The station was assigned the call letters WXTA on 1982-09-23. On 1987-03-01, the station changed its call sign to WYBR and on 1988-09-01, to WRRR. On 1995-09-18, the station became the current WNTA.

On November 11, 2011, WNTA rebranded as "100.5 NTA FM" (now simulcasting on FM translator W263BJ 100.5 FM Loves Park, IL.
