History

WMWX, 88.9 FM signed on the air with 5,000 watts on August 6, 2006. ClassX on 88.9 FM, WMWX; reaches potentially nearly 1.8 million listeners in the greater Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky, and Southeast Indiana area. ClassX is a True Rock format. The station promises a variety and exposure of new artists and their music as well as deep tracks off of old classic rock albums. ClassX is Album Rock: a mix of New Melodic Album Rock releases combined with lost Classic Rock tracks from the past 40 years. In 2011, 88.9 FM expanded it's broadcasting signal to simulcasting on 89.1 FM (WKCX) in Cincinnati as well as 89.3 FM (WYNS) in Waynesville, Ohio.
