WKMM had previously went by the name "96-7 KMM" until 2005, when it began using the "K-Country" moniker. Also in 2005, WKMM began using "StormTracker 12" weather reports over the air from local NBC

In late 2010, WKMM dropped weather reports from WBOY and began using AccuWeather

Programming

WKMM airs local DJs Greg Bolyard (who is also WKMM's Operations Manager) in the mornings, Marissa middays, Neil P. Waldeck in the afternoons and the syndicated Alan Kabel evenings. Station owner and afternoon DJ Neil P. Waldeck reports the morning news.
