WERF is the second LPFM to broadcast in the Gainesville market and the first to offer a schedule based upon non-religious programs. WERF broadcasts an oldies format 24-hours a day, 365 days a year from a transmitter facility located approximately 9 miles west of downtown. The coverage area of WERF is typical of most LPFM stations and includes around 50,000 people in the listening area.
